Frequently asked questions
When will my order be dispatched?
Textile pieces and vintage bags are usually dispatched within 1 to 2 business days. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.
Art prints are made to order and take a little longer, so please see Shipping & Delivery for full details.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Kimono Living ships worldwide. All orders are sent using tracked and insured services.
Delivery times vary by destination, so please see Shipping & Delivery for current estimates.
Do cushion covers include inserts?
Cushion covers are sold as covers only. Inserts are not included. Each listing shows the cover dimensions so you can choose the right insert, and where available, an optional insert add-on for the correct size is shown on the product page.
Can I return an item?
Yes. If your piece is not quite right, you can return it within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and returned in their original condition. Please read Returns & Refunds before sending anything back.
Are these genuine vintage textiles?
Yes. Kimono Living textile pieces are made from authentic vintage Japanese silk, including kimono, obi and uchikake textiles. Each one is several decades old and chosen for its beauty, symbolism, age and story.
Vintage bags are sourced in Japan and described individually on each product page.
How do I care for vintage silk and art prints?
Vintage silk pieces are made from delicate materials and should be handled with care. Keep away from direct sunlight to help preserve the colour, store in a cool, dry place when not in use, and store flat or rolled rather than sharply folded where possible.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Professional cleaning by a specialist is recommended.
Art prints should also be kept out of direct sunlight. For best long-term protection, frame behind UV-protective glass or acrylic and avoid hanging in damp rooms or directly above radiators.
