A swirling phoenix takes flight across mottled pink and silver kimono silk, trailing metallic rainbow hues in its wake. The diamond-patterned silk continues across the back, while a burst of heart shapes on the jewelled silver-tone clasp makes the perfect glamorous finishing touch.

What does the peacock symbol on this piece mean?

Kujaku (孔雀)

The peacock represents love, kindness and the power to transform adversity into beauty.

With its spectacular iridescent tail feathers, its 'eyes' are often seen as symbols of watchfulness and protection.
